Why subscribe?

I am a mother, grandmother, and retired English teacher who has nurtured a life-long love affair with American democracy, Even when it wobbled to the right, I was certain it would right itself because national patriotism, a strong Constitution and a love of truth would prevail. For the first time in my seven decades, I see all of those attributes failing us, and I am heartbroken on a daily basis. It will take all of us who love democracy to stop an authoritarian regime that is dismantling our government, breaking our laws, extorting our allies, and abandoning humanitarian principles. So, let’s do this together. Learn and analyze the facts and share them widely. Find a network of like-minded patriots and take action together to stop fascism. Democracy can’t fight for itself!
